#CTI is attractive, but equally - quite hard to make it work right. Thus it is great when our partners from Intel 471 are visiting and we jointy can make new ideas, inspire each other, reflect on Priority Intelligence Requirements (based on CU-GIRH methodology - thanks again and again!), and contributing to #SOCshare initiatives and meetups. Thanks, Karim Jawhary, Lukas Vytautas Dagilis for dedication making it happen! #SOC #CSIRT #ISAC

#CSIRT, #SOC, #PSIRT, #ISAC organisations typically considered as "emergency support" organisations. What exactly are types of "things" we understand as essence of these emergencies as phenomenons? I share my understanding. Please leave a comment on how you see this domain.

Sectorial and National #CSIRTs are more and more expected to work as #ISACs. Which on own side is based on CTI discipline. And next days in Berlin is all about this. Who else is here, among 300+ participants? #csirt #soc #firstcti24 FIRST

NIST 800 61r3 draft has been released yesterday for public review (12 years after r2 - which still is fundamental - naming structures to incident response, in much better way than ISO 27035, and is free). It aligns Incident Response with CSFv2 and other modernisations. Get familiarised! https://lnkd.in/dSeKHCUJ #CSIRT #SOC #ISAC #PSIRT

Evaluations prove the value of projects. Our latest newsletter Collective Cybersecurity discusses evaluations in cybersecurity capacity building and #CSIRT / #SOC. I hope everyone will take away at least one practical thing - enjoy reading, and thank you, all our partners - contributors! https://lnkd.in/dGBYJCqw

About security automation - which works well, but authors do not spend any marketing money, thus tools are not known - even if they are extremely effective and valuable. Please join to hear about them in a short session. #CSIRT #SOC #ISAC #PSIRT

2w ago during #OCSC24 's Social Event, after a few beers I was inquiring different European (and not only) #CSIRT/ #SOC experts to guess if following 3 websites would open for them on their roaming mobile - 1) Israel Railways https://rail.co.il/ 2) Canadian railways https://www.cn.ca/ 3) local Tenerife transport website https://tit*a.com/ . Which ones you think opened (or not) for which countries? p.s. I found these URLs only because during trips planning was searching how to get from airports to main cities :)

Running projects in one country for a long time gives much more food for thought - how fast things change, what is the natural pace of change in organisational maturity, what stays the same, what moves. I first landed in Bhutan in the summer of 2015 for a pre-bid meeting, was a bit scary. Then - active years 2016-2017 for the CSIRT establishment project, then a few years of friendly interactions and observations, and again - new project award in 2023, with completion in 2024. Bhutan is special to me - because of its simplicity, friendliness, sincerity, local relationships working for the same goals. Now we have been part of planting the seeds of CII methodologies and the National Cybersecurity Strategy Plan. I hope to see the fruits of these efforts in the next 2-3 years, and learn what else we should have thought of in 2023 to make the most of the available resources. And thank you, The World Bank - for raising funds for the grant to help such small and remote places like Bhutan. It adds to the sense of good things happening in the world. #thankyou #CSIRT #SOC p.s. come to FIRST's annual conference in June in f*ckuoka (JP), there will be a presentation by BtCIRT team on their journey.
