The 2023 second-round pick was limited by hamstring injuries last spring and summer, though that didn't stop him from having a big impact early in the season, including four receptions of 38 or more yards and a kick return TD within the first four weeks. While Mims remained effective on special teams apart from a pair of lost fumbles, he had only 135 receiving yards on 22 targets in his 12 appearances after Week 4. The NFL's new kickoff rules figure to make Mims even more important for Denver's special teams this year, and he should also be part of a competition for the No. 2 receiver job opposite Courtland Sutton. If not Mims, it'll likely be Josh Reynolds, Troy Franklin or Tim Patrick (Achilles) stepping up as the No. 2 receiver, though a rotation also is possible. MAY 31 • ROTOWIRE Riley Moss - Dealing with back injury Moss was unavailable for practice Thursday due to a back injury, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.Impact Moss apparently "tweaked" something in his back at practice earlier in the week, according to head coach Sean Payton, but the cornerback is expected to be back in action at some point during next week's OTAs. Entering his second season in the NFL, Moss will compete with the likes of Damarri Mathis and Ja'Quan McMillian for reps behind primary cornerbacks Patrick Surtain and Levi Wallace in 2024. MAY 30 • ROTOWIRE Audric Estime - Undergoes knee scope Estime underwent a small scope on his knee last week, but he is expected to be ready for training camp, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.Impact Estime is expected to rehab his knee, so he will not be present at OTAs or mandatory minicamp in June. At 5-foot-11, 221 pounds, the Broncos' fifth round pick of this year's draft is projected to bring a physical style to the running back room. Assuming his health is back up to par by training camp, he will presumably be competing with the likes of Samaje Perine, Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie and Blake Watson for a depth role behind Javonte Williams in this year's backfield. MAY 30 • DATA SKRIVE Vikings bring back guard Dalton Risner on 1-year deal as interior line remains unsettled The Minnesota Vikings are bringing back left guard Dalton Risner with the interior of their offensive line remaining an area in need of improvement MAY 30 • ASSOCIATED PRESS Jaleel McLaughlin - Returns healthy for OTAs McLaughlin (head) has been participating in OTAs, Isaiah J. Downing of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.Impact McLaughlin played all 17 games for the Broncos in 2023 after going undrafted out of Youngstown State last spring, averaging 5.4 yards on 76 carries and 5.2 yards on 31 receptions. He seems to be healthy after suffering a head injury Week 18, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have a role in Denver's crowded backfield in 2024. The team still has Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine under contract and recently brought in fifth-round pick Audric Estime and undrafted free agent Blake Watson. Listed at 5-foot-7 and 187 pounds, McLaughlin is the smallest of the bunch, though perhaps the quickest. MAY 29 • ROTOWIRE Samaje Perine - Potential cap casualty Perine is competing for a role in Denver's backfield but could end up being a cap casualty if the Broncos are satisfied with their reserve options behind starter Javonte Williams,...Impact Perine has a non-guaranteed $3 million salary for the second season of his two-year contract. That's a reasonable number for someone who offers good pass protection and reliable hands while also playing special teams, but the Broncos could nonetheless cut or trade Perine if they feel comfortable with Jaleel McLaughlin, Blake Watson or Tyler Badie as a passing-down specialist. None of those other backs can match Perine for size, blocking or experience, but they would probably have an edge over him in terms of speed and quickness. Meanwhile, Williams and fifth-round pick Audric Estime are more likely to get playing time on early downs. The most likely candidate is South Carolina's Spencer Rattler, but Tulane's Michael Pratt and Tennessee's Joe Milton III are among that next cluster of quarterbacks currently viewed as Day 2 prospects. It could be that the board doesn't fall fortuitously, and the Broncos opt to draft a "value" position at No.
The Denver Broncos are set to make eight picks in the 2024 NFL draft this week, but that number could change if the team makes any trades. The team's biggest draft need remains quarterback, even after the team acquired Zach Wilson from the New York Jets.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After months of offseason speculation and countless mock drafts, the Broncos have made a major addition at the game's most important position. Denver selected Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with the 12th-overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The specific lifespan is a mystery as there are many factors that are bound to influence how long will a Bronco last. With proper maintenance and care, the new Bronco should last anywhere from 150,000 to 200,000 miles or more.
The Jets put the finishing touches on the 2024 NFL Draft Saturday night, selecting Alabama defensive back Jaylen Key with the final pick of the 7th Round (No. 257) and granting him the title "Mr. Irrelevant."
Denver badly needed a new quarterback after the departure of Russell Wilson, and Nix was the top remaining passer in the top two tiers at the position. He does not have the arm talent of the quarterbacks picked ahead of him, and he lacks elite quickness as a runner.
The offense needs playmakers whether that be WR, RB, or TE.Cornerback and Edge. I think the Broncos could use depth at both positions. Quarterback—duh!
The 2024 Ford Bronco has a predicted reliability score of 75 out of 100. A J.D. Power predicted reliability score of 91-100 is considered the Best, 81-90 is Great, 70-80 is Average and 0-69 is Fair and considered below average.
Understandably, when Ford announced that the Bronco is making a comeback, many people were quick to reserve a build slot. However, as the economy was battling semiconductor shortages, inflation, supply chain issues, and Covid, the automotive industry became shrouded in uncertainty.
The problem—admittedly, a good one to have—is that demand for the Ford Bronco has remained strong since the Jeep-esque off-roader debuted in 2021. But, supply-chain and production challenges have meant that Ford has had to repeatedly delay Bronco orders.
