Will I get a welcome bonus if I already have a Barclaycard?
If you change from your existing Barclaycard to one of our Barclaycard Avios cards, the welcome bonus is
- Barclaycard Avios card – 1,000 Avios when you spend at least £1,000 within three months of receiving the card
- Barclaycard Avios Plus card – 5,000 Avios if you spend at least £3,000 within three months of receiving your card
You can use the Barclays or Barclaycard app to check if you’re eligible to change to a different card – like one of our Barclaycard Avios cards. Log in to your app, open 'Cards' from the home page and select ‘Change to a different card’.
You can only collect the welcome bonus once, so you won’t be eligible for it if you switch from one of these cards to the other. If you don't hit the spending target in time, you won't receive the welcome bonus. You can check how close you are to the target and how long you have left to hit it in the Barclaycard Avios section of your Barclays app.
When will my Avios be available in my British Airways Executive Club account?
We’ll transfer the Avios you collect with us to your linked British Airways Executive Club account on the second working day of the next month.
Will I collect Avios on purchases outside the UK?
Yes, you will collect Avios on qualifying purchases abroad, providing you stay within your credit limit.
How many British Airways cabin upgrade vouchers can I collect?
You’ll collect one cabin upgrade voucher2 for every 12-month period in which you’ve reached your Barclaycard Avios spending target. You can find more details about cabin upgrade vouchers at ba.com/cabin-upgrade-voucher.
How do I use my British Airways cabin upgrade voucher?
A cabin upgrade voucher enables you to move up by one cabin class (where available) – from Premium Economy (World Traveller Plus) to Business (Club World), for example. Bookings cannot be upgraded to a First class cabin using the cabin upgrade voucher.
Flights that you book using Avios are called reward flights. You can use your cabin upgrade voucher on an Avios Reward Flight booking. You can book to any worldwide destination, where there’s availability, with British Airways and its partners.You pay with your Avios Plus a cash amount for taxes, fees and carrier charges per person. The cabin upgrade voucher must be used at the point of booking an Avios Reward Flight. You can’t amend an existing booking to utilise the voucher.
The British Airways Executive Club Member needs to book the Avios Reward Flight and travel must have commenced within the 24 months following date of issue of the cabin upgrade voucher. For full terms and conditions on cabin upgrade vouchers please visit ba.com/cabin-upgrade-voucher.
How will I receive the British Airways cabin upgrade voucher?
After you reach your spending target, it can take up to five working days for the cabin upgrade voucher to appear in your British Airways Executive Club account. You won’t be able to see it in your Barclays or Barclaycard app. Visit ba.com/cabin-upgrade-voucher to find out more about cabin upgrade vouchers.
Where can I check my Avios balance?
You can check your total Avios balance in the Barclays or Barclaycard app, and see how many Avios you've collected with us. You can also check your total balance in your British Airways Executive Club account.
Can I link more than one British Airways Executive Club membership to my Barclaycard Avios card?
No – you'll need to decide which British Airways Executive Club membership to link to your Barclaycard Avios card.
Will I still collect Avios on spending that takes me over my agreed credit limit?
No – you won’t collect Avios on any transactions that exceed your limit.
Can I switch between the Barclaycard Avios and Barclaycard Avios Plus cards?
You can check if you’re eligible to change from one Barclaycard Avios card to another in the Barclays or Barclaycard app5. Any money spent on your existing Barclaycard Avios card won’t count toward your spending targets for extra rewards. You won't receive a second welcome bonus.

It's an additional benefit you get with our Barclaycard Avios Plus account. It gives you discounted access to airport lounges and selected services around the world. We’ve teamed up with our partners, Assurant and DragonPass, to provide Airport Lounge membership that gives you
·Access to more than 1,000 airport lounges worldwide, at a discounted rate of £18.50 for you and your friends and family
·A way to pre-book at selected airport lounges for £5 per person per visit

How do I get Airport Lounge membership?
After you've opened your Barclaycard Avios Plus account, our partner, DragonPass, will send you an email. This will explain how to download the DragonPass Premier+ app or access their website to register and start using your Airport Lounge Membership. You can also contact DragonPass on 0333 220 5599, Monday to Sunday between 6am and 10pm.
With the DragonPass Premier+ app, you can:
·Access your digital membership card
·Find lounges, restaurants and spas, and see what services they offer
·See where complimentary or purchased passes have been used, check your renewal date and buy more passes
·Pre-book your lounge access at least 72 hours in advance for £5 per person per visit
·Use FaceID or TouchID to log in to the app quickly and securely (after logging in for the first time with your username and password)
·See what services and benefits are available near your location
